Star Wars Gaming Greats, The Bad Batch Lead Hasbro’s May 4th Reveals
It wouldn’t be a May 4th without some new Star Wars figures from Hasbro. And this year, the focus of their reveals proved threefold. Gaming Greats, The Bad Batch, and Lucasfilm’s 50th anniversary led the charge. The categories of 6-inch Black Series, 3.75 inch Vintage collection, and Black Series roleplay all got representation.
From Gaming Greats, Gamestop will exclusively carry 6-inch figures of Jedi: Fallen Order‘s Flametrooper and Nightbrother. The Flametrooper utilizes the Snowtrooper base body with newly sculpted armor parts and weapon. Meanwhile, the Nightbrother modifies the base body of the recently revealed shirtless Darth Maul, with an intricate new body tattoo.
For The Bad Batch, the Shocktrooper adds a classic deco to the newly developed Clone body. And new villain Vice Admiral Rampart also offers collectors another shot at a Mouse Droid. Both will sell exclusively at Walmart.
As part of Lucasfilm;s 50th anniversary, the Star Wars team is working towards a goal of updating every original Kenner figure for the Vintage Collection. Adding to that number this year: Teebo, Endor Luke, Tusken Raider, and the Death Star Droid, with a new tarnished silver deco. These will also bow as Walmart exclusives.
Additionally, the pre-Bad Batch version of ARC Trooper Echo will see single card 3.75-inch release. And a special multicolored “prototype version of a Kenner-styled Boba Fett will be exclusive to Target and get several color variants.
In the roleplay category, the Mandalorian-style helmet gets a Death Watch redeco, with all the usual light and sound features. This bounty can get acquired at Gamestop.
Almost all these figures go up for preorder online at their respective retail partners tomorrow, May 5th, at 1pm EST. Get a better look in our gallery below.
