It wasn’t a massive surprise to anyone who read the comics. But even though multiple toy companies had toys based on Sam Wilson as Captain America ready to go, they had to officially keep mum till today. As revealed in the final episode, the SamCap costume seems tailor-made for action figures. And first up, of course, would be the Disney Store. While they also stock a kid-friendly rendition that omits Anthony Mackie’s facial hair and specific likeness, their Diamond Select exclusive captures the actor. Looking as he did in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, this Uncle Sam is ready to represent the country anew.
The 7-inch scale figure boasts approximately 16 points of articulation. From the official description: “Based on his final appearance in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney +, this Special Collector’s Edition Action Figure of Sam Wilson comes suited up in a finely detailed red, white and blue Captain America uniform. In addition to having 16 points of articulation, this figure comes with removable wings, interchangeable hands, shield, and drone accessories.”
This is not a preorder, as best we can tell. The figure looks in stock right now. And that gives it a huge advantage over the competition.
