Oct. 28 is near, and so is Star Trek Prodigy. The latest animated Star Trek series will debut its first ten-episode season on Paramount+. The story is set in the aftermath of Star Trek: Voyager and will follow a band of aliens who have to learn quickly to work together as the USS Protostar crew to make their way to the Alpha Quadrant. Now, the producers have unveiled a set of promotional character posters.
The show will see the return to the franchise of Kate Mulgrew as Kathryn Janeway. This time, the captain of the USS Voyager will only serve as an emergency training program aboard the abandoned Starfleet ship. The cast includes Rylee Alazraqui as Rok-Tahk and Arcane‘s Ella Purnell as Gwyn. The crew also sees Jason Mantzoukas’s Jankum Pog, Angus Imrie’s Zero, Rylee Alazraqui’s Rok-Tahk and Dee Bradley Baker’s Murf. They all got individual character posters that you can check out in the gallery below.
Per the official description, the show “will follow a motley crew of young aliens who must figure out how to work together while navigating a greater galaxy, in search for a better future. These six young outcasts know nothing about the ship they have commandeered – a first in the history of the Star Trek Franchise – but over the course of their adventures together, they will each be introduced to Starfleet and the ideals it represents.”
