With the upcoming ninth episode of Batwoman Season 2 a few days away, The CW has released a brand-new set of promotional photos. The stills feature a closer look at Roman Sionis, aka Black Mask. He will be the next big villain of the show, taking over from Safiyah. The television network also revealed that Canadian actor Peter Outerbridge will portray the character, leader of the drug cartel known as False Face Society. Outerbridge has already worked under The CW’s banner as he played Ari Tasarov in the action series Nikita. It will also hardly be his first foray into the comic-book-related world, as he recently played The Conductor in Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy.

Michael Blundell directed the episode written by Nancy Kiu and Maya Houston. The official synopsis for “Rule #1” reads:
“THE CHOICES WE MAKE – Batwoman (Javicia Leslie) confronts Gotham’s biggest foe, while new information forces those closest to Kate to make some difficult decisions. Ryan’s feelings for Angelique (guest star Bevin Bru) puts her partnership with Luke (Camrus Johnson) and Mary (Nicole Kang) at risk, while Alice (Rachel Skarsten) goes on a warped walk down memory lane. Also starring Dougray Scott and Meagan Tandy.”
The next episode of Batwoman Season 2 will debut on The CW on March 28.
