Stranger Things executive producer Shawn Levy has said that the ending of the Netflix show is in sight.
Back in 2017, the first season of Stranger Things took the world by storm and quickly became one of Netflix’s most popular series. The following two seasons likewise had a big impact with all three being well received by audiences and critics. For the creative team, however, the end of the series is in sight.
While speaking with Collider, Stranger Things producer Shawn Levy talked a bit about potential endings for the series. He didn’t confirm if the fourth season of the show would be the end but did say that they had a plan for the conclusion of the Netflix show:
“I have the end in sight. The brothers have the end in sight. There is a plan and that too will be shared not quite as soon as a sense of when Season 4 is coming out, but soon enough. I can say this. No, one’s making it up as we go along and there is an endgame, if you will.”
Here is the official synopsis for the third season of Stranger Things:
“It’s 1985 in Hawkins, Indiana, and summer’s heating up. School’s out, there’s a brand new mall in town, and the Hawkins crew are on the cusp of adulthood. Romance blossoms and complicates the group’s dynamic, and they’ll have to figure out how to grow up without growing apart. Meanwhile, danger looms. When the town’s threatened by enemies old and new, Eleven and her friends are reminded that evil never ends; it evolves. Now they’ll have to band together to survive, and remember that friendship is always stronger than fear.”
Stranger Things stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Dacre Montgomery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, and Cara Buono.
