RUMOR: Andy Serkis Filmed Scenes For Diego Luna’s ‘Andor’

Snoke actor Andy Serkis is rumored to have been cast in the upcoming Star Wars centered on Diego Luna’s Cassian Andor.

Diego Luna has teased Andor will see the return of some familiar faces. We also already know about some of those returning characters with Mon Mothma and Saw Gerrera playing some kind of role in the upcoming Disney Plus series. Now, a recent rumor from Making Star Wars suggests that Andy Serkis filmed some scenes for Andor as well.

Of course, Andy Serkis played Supreme Leader Snoke in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, so he could either be returning as the controversial villain or playing a brand-new character. It’s also worth noting that the Star Wars series is taking place well before the events of The Force Awakens, where we were first introduced to a crippling Snoke.

If Andy Serkis is playing a new character, this wouldn’t be the first time a Star Wars actor has played a different role in the franchise. Mark Hamill notably joined the darkside and voiced Darth Bane in an episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Diego Luna first appeared as Cassian Andor in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Here is the synopsis:

Directed by Gareth Edwards from a screenplay co-written by Chris Weitz and Tony Gilroy based on a story by John Knoll and Gary Whitta, Rogue One stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, with Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker.
