New ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Set Photos Reveal Return Of Iconic ‘Star Wars’ Location

The latest batch of set photos from Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi series reveal the return of an iconic Star Wars location.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is about to begin filming sometime this month if it hasn’t already. We know the series will take place on the twin sons of Tatooine, and a recent set video revealed a village on the classic Star Wars planet. With Owen and Beru Lars also set for a return in the series, it shouldn’t be a surprise that we will also get to see their iconic homestead once again.

Recent set photos shared by Kessel Run Transmission’s Noah Outlaw on Twitter reveal set work on the Lars homestead. With Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi starting filming in Los Angeles this month, the Lars homestead set is most likely for it. We last saw the Lars homestead in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, 30 years after the original trilogy. Besides A New Hope, the Lars homestead also appeared in Attack of the Clones and at the end of Revenge of the Sith. You can check out the set photos from Obi-Wan Kenobi below.

The Obi-Wan Kenobi series has been described as a special event series for Disney Plus, and details on the upcoming Star Wars series are being hidden away on Tatooine. Still, we do know the series will feature a rematch between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader ten years after the events of Revenge of the Sith and before their final confrontation in A New Hope.

Directed by Deborah Chow from Joby Harold’s scripts, the series stars Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.
