Analysts say Zack Snyder’s Justice League narrowly beat out The Falcon and The Winter Soldier in views on their respective streaming services over the weekend.
Last weekend was a massive weekend for geeks everywhere due to the long-awaited release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League on HBO Max and the premiere episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier hitting Disney Plus. Despite the two superhero projects going head to head, it sounds like both streaming services got plenty of attention.
On Monday, Disney came out to share that The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is now the streaming service’s most-watched premiere ever. No announcement has come from WarnerMedia regarding Zack Snyder’s Justice League yet, but we have an idea of how the four-hour DC movie fared against the Marvel Studios series. According to Samba TV, via The Hollywood Reporter’s Rick Porter, the Snyder Cut beat out The Falcon and The Winter Soldier by 100k with 1.8 million views.
Meanwhile, analytics company Samba TV says the Marvel/DC face-off was fairly close by its metrics: 1.7 million U.S. households for “FWS,” 1.8 million for “JL” (5-minute viewing threshold).

Here is the official synopsis for the Snyder Cut:
“In ZACK SNYDER’S JUSTICE LEAGUE, determined to ensure Superman’s (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.”
