‘Avengers: Endgame’ Directors Already Miss Marvel Studios

Avengers: Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo haven’t been out of Marvel Studios for a year but already miss the people at the company.

To say that Anthony and Joe Russo left Marvel Studios on a high note would be an understatement. The two’s latest film, Avengers: Endgame is currently the highest-grossing film of all time, (not adjusted for inflation), and one of the best-reviewed Marvel Studios film to date. But the two are already getting homesick.

While promoting their new film, Mosul, with SYFY Wire, the two talked about their work with Marvel Studios, the people they grew close to, and how much they already miss them:

“I mean, look, working with Kevin [Feige] and Louis D’Esposito and Victoria Alonso has been the most rewarding collaboration we’ve had in our entire career. They’re like family to us now. We’re all very, very close to one another, and we miss each other, so I’m sure we’ll find something that we can do together soon.”

Anthony and Joe Russo, of course, directed four films for Marvel Studios over the course of five years. They first cut their teeth in Marvel Studios with Captain America: The Winter Soldier before directing Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. Based on what they’re saying in this interview, it is clear that they would happily work with Marvel Studios and the people within it once again.

Here is the official synopsis for the Russo Brothers latest Marvel Studios film, Avengers: Endgame:

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.

Avengers: Endgame is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD.
