‘Aquaman’: Incredible Look At Amber Heard’s Mera In Full Costume Revealed In BTS Photo

A behind-the-scenes photo from the set of James Wan’s Aquaman recently surfaced, revealing an incredible look at Amber Heard as Mera for the hit DC superhero film.

After her brief introduction in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Amber Heard took center stage with Jason Momoa in Aquaman. Amber Heard led the reluctant hero on a journey to the Kingdom of Atlantis and beyond in the swashbuckling action-adventure, guiding Jason Momoa’s Aquaman on his quest for the King’s Trident, and helping him accept his role as the King of Atlantis. Ultimately, Amber Heard’s Mera proved to be key to Aquaman’s success in stopping his half brother, King Orm (Patrick Wilson), from waging a war on the surface world.

For the role of Mera, Amber Heard trained under the guidance of Li Jing Wushu, one of the world’s leading female martial arts experts and top Hollywood stunt performers. The actress trained rigorously for four to five times a week. The workouts were handled with ease due to Amber Heard’s dedication. She was even praised as a true athlete for her dedication to the role.

James Wan is expected to return to the director’s chair after he completes a new horror project for New Line Cinema.

Amber Heard made her debut as Mera in Zack Snyder’s Justice League before reprising the role in Aquaman, which was directed by James Wan.
